This Christmas Living Hope Church is partnering with Prison Fellowship's Angel Tree program. Angel Tree is a ministry that reaches out to the children of inmates and their families with the love of Christ. The unique program gives churches an opportunity to share Christ's love by helping to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the families of prisoners.
Angel Tree Christmas works by connecting parents in prison with their children through the delivery of Christmas gifts. Every Christmas, thousands of churches help brighten the lives of countless children by purchasing, wrapping and delivering gifts on behalf of their incarcerated parent—not only delivering a message of live from parent to child, but also the true meaning of Christmas—the good news of Jesus Christ.
On Sunday, December 4, Living Hope will have paper angels on display in the Grand Lobby that will list children's names, ages, and preferences for gifts. Gifts need to be returned no later than Sunday, December 18. Once gifts are purchased and returned to church, Living Hope's Missional Community will deliver them and the Gospel to children on behalf of their prison-parent. You are encouraged to select an angel to purchase a gift for a child and/or consider joining the teams that will deliver the gifts the week before Christmas. For more information on how you can be involved, email Pastor Chris Cano.
