Discipleship Initiative Launched

Living Hope Church has launched a new initiative by which we hope to become a disciple-making church of dedicated disciples whose goal is to live the lives Christ has set before us. The strategy is to adopt the disciple-making model employed by Jesus who began by inviting a small group into a discipling relationship that is both transformative and transferable. To help us, we have adopted a tool or process developed by Mike Breen, author of Building A Discipling Culture and founder of 3 Dimension Ministries (3DM). The initiative will be lead by Pastor Chris Cano.   

On Monday, September 12, Pastor Cano launched Living Hope's first small group or "Huddle." The group includes seven people and will meet weekly for at least six months. Then, those seven individuals will be commissioned to start their own small groups, a "second generation" of "Huddles." Then, nine to twelve months later, the "second generation" will launch yet another generation of small groups. In addition, each Friday Pastor Cano is leading our pastors in a "Huddle."

Through this model, we have the potential to experience exponential discipleship growth in the next three years. We currently have nine people in discipleship relationships.
