An Unforgettable Journey

This winter Living Hope Church enjoyed a series of messages on the life of Christ entitled "His Journey. Your Life." During this series, the congregation focused on significant chapters in the life of Jesus - and their implications for our lives as followers of Jesus. During "Holy Week" the congregation visited four chapters in the journey of Jesus: Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter. The series included fourteen sermons offered by five different preachers. The series will conclude this coming Sunday as the congregation reflects on the home-going of Jesus Christ - His Ascension. It will be followed by a series entitled "Your Journey. His Life." In this new series the congregation will discover how our life journeys are shaped by the Holy Spirit.

The picture below was taken during our Good Friday Service. During that service, the congregation gathered around a cross constructed out of candles. Candace Schutt was able to capture the reflection of the candles in the light standards above the congregation. As a lyricist once wrote, "Lift High the Cross" - and, unknown to us, the cross was lifted up!
