A Mid-Week Dose of Encouragement

If you are looking for a place to get a mid-week dose of encouragement, might we suggest Your Word For Tuesday. Living Hope’s Tabrasia O’Neal, along with her mother, Deborah Foster, and Margaret Heart, are on the air each Tuesday at 11 a.m. on 102.3FM.

Your Word For Tuesday, which lasts for 30 minutes, is formatted like a mini Bible study – or possibly three interrelated sermonettes, as O’Neal described them. After Foster prays, O’Neal is always the first speaker. Initially, her sermons decided the topic for the week, but one week she was unable to get her sermon done early enough for Foster and Heart to prepare their pieces. But, as O’Neal said, the Holy Spirit worked to make everything flow well together, and the format has been like that ever since. The sermonettes are not always on the same verse, but the topics to build on each other.

“So far the topics have spanned from the power of praising God, to faith, ‘Knowing your enemy,’” said O’Neal. “As believers, we truly have to immerse ourselves in the Word of God so that we will be prepared for life's trials and tribulations. Sometimes, making time for study can be a bit difficult. Your Word For Tuesday is a way for you to ‘study’ the Word of God without having to do the work yourself. We, with much help from the Holy Spirit, do the work for you.”
