Small Group For College Students

On Sunday, March 28, Dan Lugo and Lauren Anders will launch two small group studies for college students, one for men and the other for women.  The groups will study the biblical book Nehemiah and meet three times, beginning March 28, followed by meetings on April 11 & 25. The groups will meet on the campus of Trinity Christian College from 1:00 to 2:15 PM. This new study comes in response to the request of those who participated in the study of Dietrich Bonhoeffer's book Life Together, which took place this past fall. Women, if you are interested, contact Lauren.  Men, if you are interested, contact Dan.

Palm Sunday Celebration

Living Hope Church will kick off Holy Week 2010 with a celebration of Christ's entry into Jerusalem on that day we typically refer to as "Palm Sunday."  The service will include a message by seminarian Courtney Schutt, a testimony by Kathy Sarchioto of the Moraine Valley Church in Palos Heights, and an opportunity to participate in the ancient tradition of waving palm branches in honor of Jesus Christ, the King of kings. The congregation will gather in the Grand Lobby of the Ozinga Chapel, on the campus of Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, IL.  Begin Holy Week 2010 by gathering with Living Hope on Sunday, March 28, at 10:30 AM. The service, characterized by passionate worship and relevant teaching, will conclude by noon.

Holy Week Services

As the culmination of the "His Journey. Your Life" sermon series, Living Hope Church will add one more worship service to its celebration of Holy Week. In addition to the Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, and Easter services, Living Hope will gather for a Good Friday service. Like last year, the Maundy Thursday service will focus on the night of Jesus' betrayal and include the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper, as well as the option of foot-washing (see picture below from last year's service). The Good Friday gathering will include a traditional "Tenebrae" service.
